6th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing

Again this year Ned Grant is going all out to rally support for Wayne State University, Small Business Administration annual golf event for student scholarships to the School of Business.
Over the years, sponsors and participants in the Scholarship Golf Outing have raised $100,000 to fund an endowed scholarship for Detroit high school students who attend the School of Business Administration.

Relief is on the way. Thank goodness. Progress Report....
We are thrilled to report that Main (Rochester Road) Street will reopen to traffic on Friday, July 20! One lane will be open in each direction while the Main Street Makeover continues!
Traffic in Rochester has had to detour now for months as the new road is laid,
sewer lines and electrical lines installed.

It's July, it's hot, the air conditioning is on, yet something is missing.
That's when I open the refrig door and get my favorite delight.
A tub of ice cream, usually strawberry, and relax in my recliner.
No kiddin' -- during hockey season I'll buy a package of six tubs.
It's about time for another purchase for I see it's now on sale.
And it just so happens I favor Breyer's brand ice cream,

If this estimate were true, it would indeed make an impressive case for the rapid pace of population growth in this century. But if we judge the idea that three-fourths of people who ever lived are alive today to be a ridiculous statement, have demographers come up with a better estimate?
Any such exercise can be only a highly speculative enterprise, to be undertaken with far less seriousness than most demographic inquiries. Nonetheless, it is a somewhat intriguing idea that can be approached on at least a semi-scientific basis.
And semi-scientific it must be, because there are, of course, absolutely no demographic data available for 99 percent of the span of the human stay on Earth. Still, with some speculation concerning prehistoric populations, we can at least approach a guesstimate of this elusive number.
With all our college classmates here it gives us something to think about during our retirement years.
